In case you're wondering
You may have noticed that several surnames are spelled differently in various places on this blog. What originated as Ujlaki, eventually became Ujlaky and then Ulaky. Bence, which is listed on the family tombstones in Legrad, has also been spelled Bencze and with other small variations. None is incorrect: it is the nature of the time in which these families lived and their migration to an English-speaking world.
